Using Simple Backup Anywhere with Edge Private Cloud

You can use Simple Backup Anywhere to provide file- and folder-level backups and restores for virtual machines in the Lumen Private Cloud on VMware Cloud Foundation portal.

Note: To use Simple Backup Anywhere with Lumen Private Cloud on VMware Cloud Foundation, you need:
 

  • A Windows or Linux server (VM).
  • Connectivity to your Windows or Linux server.
  • An active Lumen Cloud (CLC) account.


To use Simple Backup Anywhere with Edge Private Cloud:

  1. Sign in to your CLC account and navigate to Simple Backup (Control Portal > Services > Backup).
  1. Create a backup policy (if you haven't already done so).
  1. Click Backup Anywhere and register an anywhere server. (This is the server where you will install the Simple Backup agent.)
  1. Download the installer.
  1. Install the agent on the server.
  1. Add the server to a backup policy.
