Cloud Application Manager Platform

New Provider Type for Lumen Private Cloud for VMWare Cloud on AWS

Cloud Application Manager now supports the Lumen Private Cloud for VMWare Cloud on AWS (CPC for VMC) provider type. Any existing CPC for VMC environment can now be registered as a provider in Cloud Application Manager provider. This will enable the deployment of new instances as well as the discovery and register of existing instances already available in the CPC for VMC environment. Support for AWS Savings Plans

Customers with Optimized, AWS accounts are able to utilize AWS Savings Plans. Lumen will accurately process Savings Plans consumers' savings, plus up-front and ongoing costs. Lumen will use familiar patterns established by Reserved Instance billing. On invoices, Cloud Application Manager will blend Savings Plan elements in the same line items as Reserved Instances and break out details of Savings Plans within CAM's Management site with Detailed Usage History functionality.

Rename Lumen Private Cloud on VMware Cloud Foundation to CPC on VCF

Cloud Application Manager has renamed the Lumen Private Cloud on VMware Cloud Foundation provider type to CPC on VCF. This short name has been introduced with the addition of the new CPC for VMC type of Lumen Private Cloud family of providers. Users will still see the full name in the description of the provider type to better identify their existing or new providers.
